About

My evolving development story.

I'm Marc Scapelitte, a developer based in Jamestown, NY, in Western New York. I started out in mathematics, came back for a second degree in computer science, and spent time teaching before going all-in on building software. That mix of math, teaching, and craft is still how I work: clear thinking, patient explanation, and a lot of care in the details.

Over 16+ years I've shipped mobile apps and websites for gyms, bakeries, newspapers, makers, and community projects. I like the whole arc: figuring out what someone actually needs, designing something that fits them, building it properly, and sticking around to help it grow. No templates, no hand-off-and-vanish. Just software that feels like it was made for you, because it was.
